Through Turns Projects we independently commission new works and provide music direction and production services to festivals, music venues, and other related music sectors.

Manana//Cuba was a festival and residency programme in Santiago De Cuba - 2016, that connected the international electronic music community to masters of Afro-Cuban folkloric tradition. The project was built around the belief that Cuba’s powerful blend of rhythm and culture would enrich the electronic music community, while giving local musicians a platform to connect with international audiences, incorporate technology and take their musical development in new directions. Turns curated and produced the collaborations and built a team within Cuba that worked alongside the Ministry of Culture in Santiago de Cuba to deliver this one off festival. Funding was secured via a crowdfunding campaigning and via sponsors like Havana Club. Follow up cultural exchange programmes saw events at Barbican and Oval Space.

Musicians included:
Nicolas Jaar, Plaid, Adrian Sherwood & Skip McDonald, Sofrito, Gifted & Blessed, Compañía Ballet Folklórico de Oriente, Obbatuke, Son de Batey
